A fun-filled new take on the casual first person arena shooter. his wrists where his leather jacket had pulled back to expose the skin. The basic use being create some game media textures models maps and config files for physics and rules. only in clans u can play a few rounds without waiting an hour for each matchmaking. It is a rendering system that can be used for more than just games but it is targeted at games. UT u also wait long long times till u can start a nice match. but its a pitty, besides Doom(2016)Multiplayer there is no other oldschool arena online shooter wich does not look like shit or has completely dead serverlandscapes. any player has exactly the same options, no matter how long they play, in the arena are all the same and only reaction-movement-timing-skills make your gameplay better =). but none of them, or any other game since, has caught me like UT did =) no reloads, no classes, no perks or any such bullshit. sure there was storydriven stuff like Doom, and also quake was around for quite a while. Me: "dad" let me install UT on ur machine!" -Dad: "nope, build ur own one" -Me: pc-master-race-engaged. like, not only a squad of boys messing with brothers nintendo gamestationbox^^. its prolly my first and oldest memory about real gaming. It aims to be a free software clone of Quake III Arena, retaining its gameplay while replacing the proprietary content with brand new free (as in freedom, again) content. Samuel Lemeschko's Experience UT has always been my first choice pixelpewpew. OpenArena (short form: OA) is a free ( as in freedom) network enabled multiplayer first person shooter based on the ioquake3 fork of the id tech 3 engine.
